From Grain to Page: A Community Collaboration with NYU Langone Health

We’re excited to celebrate the launch of the Mother’s Box Program, a meaningful initiative led by NYU Langone Health and supported by Glynwood Grains, the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC), and Curio.

Each month, the program brings together locally sourced whole grains and legumes, culturally relevant nutrition guidance, and bilingual children’s books to support families across New York City—particularly within Chinese and other diverse communities. The goal: to nourish both body and mind, while fostering healthy eating habits, language development, and joyful parent-child connections.

Beyond food and literacy, the Mother’s Box Program also promotes social-emotional learning, cross-cultural understanding, and quality of life through shared stories and shared meals.

We’re proud to support this mission by contributing a carefully selected Chinese or bilingual book to each box—celebrating culture, language, and family. Huge thanks to NYU Langone Health for spearheading this important work, and to the families who bring it to life.

Next distribution: June 12—see you there!

Many thanks to
